The South East Cyber Resilience is excited to announce that global Information Security training provider, SANS has joined the SECRC Board, represented by Business Development Director Andy Woolhead.

Andy works closely with the Ministry of Defence, Law Enforcement, broader Government and the Defence Industry. As Head of Information Warfare, he was responsible for the development of Naval Cyber doctrine. Andy left the military in 2017 to join SANS.

On joining the Board Andy said: “I am delighted to have been formally welcomed on to the Board of the South East Cyber Resilience Centre. The mission and ambition is a really exciting prospect which will genuinely make a difference to the community. Can’t wait to get stuck in!”

Andy sits on a number of advisory panels supporting national and focussed interest groups around the Cyber Profession. He has an MBA in Cyber Security, GIAC qualifications in Security Leadership, Security Fundamentals and is a Security Awareness Professional.

SECRC Director Justin Torgout added: “Andy’s experience in cyber security is immense and will be extremely valuable to the members of the SECRC.
