Updated: Nov 5, 2021

We are delighted to announce two new members who have joined the SECRC Advisory Group. Welcome to Nicole Keeley, Head of Cyber Security Oversight for the Civil Aviation Authority and Marilise de Villiers, Founder & CEO Marilise de Villiers Basson Consulting.

Nicole and Marilise will work with the other Advisory Group members to provide the SECRC with guidance, advice and influence the direction of the Centre,

Nicole Keeley, Head of Cyber Security Oversight for the Civil Aviation Authority

Nicole leads the team responsible for regulatory cyber security oversight, for the Civil Aviation Authority in the UK. Her aim is to have a proportionate and effective approach that enables aviation to manage cyber security risks without compromising aviation safety, security, or resilience (with a particular focus on critical national infrastructure).

Previous to her role at the Civil Aviation Authority, Nicole worked for Virgin Atlantic for over 4 years with the roles of Information Security Analyst before taking on the role of Information Security Consultant. This role saw Nicole working as part of the team responsible for ensuring that Virgin Atlantic were suitably engaged in business and technology projects with a focus on Information Security general controls, Data Protection and PCI.

Having worked in a variety of industries in various GRC and technical information security roles, Nicole loves the interconnected and diverse nature of aviation.

On joining the South East Cyber Resilience Centre Advisory Group, Nicole said: “I’m really excited to be joining this policing initiative. As technology moves forward cyber security is becoming increasingly important across all sectors, not least in aviation. I believe regional centres like this one will make achieving cyber resilience across the UK more accessible to organisations of all sizes and levels of maturity. We are all definitely stronger together.”
